Let Songs Arise

Let Songs Arise

Awaken my heart to sing thy praise in the midst of tragedy

Awaken my heart to sing thy grace when pain is all I see

Teach my your plans, Oh Sovereign of all

Dismantled I come, by faith and your call

PRECHORUS:

Arise my heart in light of grace

Arise my soul with a song of praise

For He is good, and Just to see

That in my pain, I bring an offering

CHORUS:

Let songs arise, let praise arise

When songs are far, and feelings cease

Let songs arise, let praise arise

In valley’s low, in stormy seas

On Mountain highs, in rivers deep

Let songs arise

Vs.2

Awaken church, were not done yet
The harvest is ripe, wedding feast is almost set
The King is coming, returning for me
Alas, ‘twill be over, we shall win the victory

BRIDGE:

In the shadows when I don’t see the light

In the stillness of day, or the storms of the night

I won’t forget this mystery that life is found through suffering

You are a gifted writer. Your song reminds me of that scene in the movie "Joshua" where the woman breaks the vase and says that her life is shattered like that vase....and then Joshua crafts it into a beautiful sculpture. It illustrates how God can take broken pieces of our hearts and not only put them back together again...but give us back something better than before. :)

Let Song's Arise.....yes, what a beautiful song that is. I think that this will be a blessing to those of us who will hear it someday. May God continue to gift you with His abiltiy to write music, and also preach through singing!!

Jonathan,

GREAT lyrics! We just finished a CD called Come Weary Saints, and this would have been a perfect fit for it. Is it possible to get a copy of the music?

BTW, I very much appreciate your and your brother's focus on the Gospel. Thanks for being faithful to preach Christ and him crucified.
